How do I enter my checking or savings account information?

Your Capital One Investing℠ account can be linked electronically to your checking or savings account. This link enables you to deposit money electronically for trading and investing. Capital One Investing provides this service free of charge.

Your Capital One Investing account can only be linked to one checking or savings account. To link your Capital One Investing account to either a checking or savings account, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Bank Name – The name of your financial institution.
  • Type of Account – Your Capital One Investing account can be linked to most checking or savings accounts, but there are some restrictions. A link cannot be established with checking accounts that are connected to a money market account. Also, some financial institutions do not allow a link to be established with a savings account.
  • Routing Number – Sometimes referred to as an ABA number, this is generally the first nine numbers on your check. Some financial institutions use a different routing number for electronic transfers, so please check with your financial institution if you are unsure.
  • Checking/Savings Account Number – The account number for your checking or savings account. Enter numbers only; do not use dashes or spaces.

Important: If you are unsure of any of this information, please verify with your bank before setting up a money transfer.
