As of November 1, 2012, all of your Capital One Investing℠ accounts will be covered under Capital One’s Privacy Policy. As always, our commitment to protecting your personal info and security is as strong as ever. Check out the FAQs below for more details about what this Privacy Policy means for you.

What’s the new Privacy Policy and when does it go into effect?
The new Capital One Privacy Policy is effective as of November 1, 2012. Check out all the nitty gritty details.

How do I change my privacy settings?
If you want to change your privacy settings, you can now make changes on the Capital One Investing website and they’ll apply to all of your Capital One 360, Capital One Investing and Capital One accounts. Pretty easy, huh?

Just follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to www.capitaloneinvesting.com with your username and password
  2. Go to the ‘Profile and Settings’ page, located in the Accounts tab under the Overview section
  3. Update your Communication and Sharing Preferences under the Privacy Settings section

I only have accounts with Capital One Investing℠ or Capital One 360

How does this affect the way my info is shared?
As a Capital One 360 or Capital One Investing℠ Customer, you've been automatically opted out from having your info shared with non-affiliated 3rd parties for marketing purposes – this won’t change. To make sure you’re in the know about opportunities within Capital One, we may share your info within our new Capital One family.

How does this affect the way you keep me updated about products and services?
You’ve always been able to let us know how you wanted to be reached – and your current settings won’t change unless you tell us otherwise. Now that we’re part of a new company, we may let you know about new products and services offered within our new Capital One family

What if I’m new to Capital One Investing?
If you first opened a Capital One Investing or Capital One 360 account after November 1, 2012, you’ll have to let us know if you want to limit how we share your info or let you know about products and services. Find out how to change your privacy settings.

I have a Capital One Investing℠ account and a Capital One account – how am I impacted?

How does this affect the way my info is shared?
Your current preferences for how your info’s shared within Capital One will now also apply to your Capital One Investing℠ accounts.

How does this affect the way you keep me updated about products and services?
Now that we’re a part of a new company, we may let you know about new products and services offered within our Capital One family. Your current preferences for how Capital One contacts you will now also apply to your Capital One Investing accounts.

What if I have an existing Capital One account, but I’m new to Capital One Investing?
Your current preferences for how you’ve been informed of product and service offers and how your info’s shared within Capital One will apply to your new Capital One Investing accounts.

What if I used to have an account with Capital One?
If you used to have an account with Capital One, your preferences for how Capital One reaches out to let you know about products and services or how your info’s shared within Capital One will now also apply to your Capital One Investing accounts.
