  • Can I have both an online investing account and an advised investing account?

    Yes. However, keep in mind online and advised investing accounts are separate, each type with its own benefits. Your advisor will consider your online investing account when building your plan and be available to offer guidance on your advised account. However, you are responsible for managing your online account.

  • Why do I have to give you my brokerage statements?

    To provide a personalized recommendation, your advisor needs your complete financial picture, including a comparison of your portfolio mix to your risk tolerance, goals and time horizon.

  • How often will I speak with my advisor?

    At least once a year. However, if you prefer to speak with your advisor more often, you can. Your advisor will create a schedule of annual meetings based on how often you’d prefer to meet. However regularly you choose to speak with your advisor, you can typically expect each appointment to last approximately one hour.

  • How much do I need to invest to work with an advisor?

    Our advised opportunities have a $25,000 minimum. If you plan on investing less than that, you may be better served with a self-directed online investing account. Learn more about our other ways to invest.

  • Where can I find information on pricing?

    Once your advisor gets to know you and understands your needs, your advisor will then be able to walk you through and explain the pricing and fees associated with your strategy. Any time you have a question, just ask.

  • Will my advisor choose stocks for me?

    Our advisors will not offer guidance on stocks. Their focus is helping you build a diverse, core portfolio that balances potential risks with rewards according to your goals and timeline. Instead of speculating on stocks, they’re there to recommend a variety of products that support your priorities.

  • Why are in-person advisors available only in select locations?

    We have advisors where we have branch locations to accommodate our bank clients. To search for the closest branch location near you, click here.   • Where can I view my accounts?

    If you would like to view your advised account online be sure to let your advisor know so he/she can get you set up with online access.

  • Will my advisor also be able to manage my online investing account?

    Online and advised investing accounts are separate. If you have both types of accounts, a financial advisor can help manage your advised account only. However, your advisor will consider your online investing account when building your plan and be available to offer guidance on your advised account.

  • What if I have questions?

    We want to answer them. If you work with an advisor in person at one of our select locations, you can contact that office directly to make an appointment to speak with your advisor.
